I sometimes joke that I am the best Polish paragliding pilot in Tenerife… but only because I am the only one.
How my journey into flying began

Hi! My name is Łukasz and I came to Tenerife in 2019. At that time, I had nothing to do with paragliding. After a few months, I found a job at a company organizing tandem flights — at first as a driver. I had no idea that this job would completely change my life.

Over time, I fell in love with flying. I completed paragliding school, earned my solo pilot licence and spent every free moment improving my skills. I trained for hundreds of hours on wing control on the ground and in the air. When I felt ready, I earned my tandem pilot licence.

Exactly one year after arriving in Tenerife — on 26 January — I made my first solo flight. From that moment, flying became not only my work, but above all my greatest passion.

Today I have been flying for more than six years, I do more than 800 tandem flights a year, and in total I have completed more than 4500 tandem flights. Every takeoff is special to me because I know that for most people it is their first flight ever.

The most important thing for me is that you feel safe and comfortable from the first minute. I know many people feel stress or even fear before takeoff — and that is completely normal. Sometimes I joke that besides being a pilot, I am also a bit of a therapist: I help calm emotions, overcome doubts and turn stress into joy and wonder at the views.
